We’re calling it Artisans on a Mission. Wood Window Makeover is partnering with the Clearwater Historical Society and the Plumb House to bring you Operation Uplift: Crusade for Cole.
February 7-14, Artisans from across the country unite at 1380 S Martin Luther King Jr Ave. Clearwater, FL 33756 for three major reasons…
- Uplift and encourage one another through fellowship, teaching and contribution while celebrating the disciplines of Window Craft.
- Uplift the Plumb house and the Clearwater Historical Society by applying the disciplines of Window Craft to her historic windows in a way that breathes new life into them.
- Uplift a struggling 17 year old named Cole Stites and his family as they battle his newly diagnosed, incurable and terminal illness called Niemann Pick Disease. Cole’s dad Chip describes it as a combination of Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s and ALS all at the same time. We are raising funds to support Cole’s medical care and make his home ADA-compliant, empowering him to live independently and enjoy life to the fullest.
The Plumb House gets a Wood Window Makeover!
Allison Dolan with the Clearwater Historical Society contacted WWM because of accumulating historic window problems at the Plumb House. As stewards of such a vital element of the area’s history, she felt compelled to give the windows the love they needed. When I arrived at the property, it was immediately obvious that the Plumb House is a perfect venue to unite and equip the Artisan Army to serve higher purposes in our historic house communities. One of the things that makes Artisans what they are is their generosity and desire to contribute. The Plumb house is perfect for that.
What can I expect at Artisans on a Mission in February?
When people gather from all over the country to learn, grow and give like they are at Artisans on a Mission, you can’t help but have a wealth of a good time. The best and brightest minds in Window Craft will be there as well as a host of people who just want to help and contribute. It’s February 7-14 and it is divided into two basic elements designed to equip Artisans in the disciplines of Window Craft – the Weekend Warrior Saturday and Sunday, and the Special Ops Elite Week Monday through Friday. There’s a Friday night kickoff party on the 7th that everyone is invited too. See you there!
